RE: "Delayed Write Failed" error message when you write a file to

Hi Michael,

Thanks for updating.

Since the problem happed just once, it may be caused by random accidents
such as temporally bad network traffic. Please try to run that program when
you are convenient, when it works fine, please just take it easy.

If the problem still exists, please check the following as I suggested in
my previous post:

1. Make a clean boot. The problem may be caused by some software on the
workstation.

2. Check the network.

3. Apply the hotfix KB 818408.

Based on current situation, please don't take the step 4, because only one
client has problem.

The problem may also be caused by your archiving process, please also
contact the software manufacture. Thanks for your understanding.

If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Best regards,

Robert Li(MSFT)

<Good morning. Thank you very much for putting so much effort into my

<We have a small network and the incident has happened just once. It

<>

included

<> like to give you other suggestion.
<>
<> Step 1: Please make a clean boot, the problem may be caused by some
third

<>
<> 1. Click Start->Run...->type msconfig and press Enter.
<> 2. Click Services tab and select Hide All Microsoft Services and Disable
<> All third party Services.
<> 3. Click Startup tab and Disable All startup items.
<> 4. Click OK and choose Restart.
<> 5. After reboot, check whether the problem still occurs.
<> 6. If there are no more problems, please use the above steps to enable
<> services and startup items one by one in order to figure out the root

<> of this issue.
<>
<> Step 2: The problem may be caused network hardware problems, please try
<> changing the network speed on the NICs. You may configure all the
network
<> devices (NICs, routers, switches) to a hard-coded setting of 100Mbps/s,
<> rather than the default in Windows of "automatic". Note that not only
the
<> NICs have to be set, but verify the switches and routers are also
<> configured for this setting. Please also try to connect the client

<>
<> Step 3: This problem occurs because, during a WebDAV connection, the
<> WinInet function does not break up the data into sufficiently small
chunks.
<> As a result, the system cannot allocate a sufficiently large block of

<>
<> To resolve the problem, you need to install hotfix on the SBS server.

<> Step 4: If all users have this problem, this behavior occurs when server
<> message block (SMB) signing is enabled and required on the domain
<> controller that is running Windows Server 2003. Please take the steps to
<> disable the SMB signing on the server:
<>
<> 1. Start-->Run-->Type ''''regedit'''' and press Enter.
