That seems to have fixed it!
Thanks again, Damian for your help.
For anyone following this thread it is worth adding that the Hex string must
be continuous, so if editing in notepad, use screenwrap to ensure there are
no breaks.

Hi,.
The fact that the option is missing from the Fax configuration wizard may
be an indication that the provider is missing from the registry.
Assuming the binaries are there, go ahead and import the following file
into your registry.
Copy and paste into notepad, save as Faxrout.reg.
---cut here---
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Fax\Routing Extensions\SBSFAX~1.DLL]
"FriendlyName"="Store in a document library"
"ImageName"=hex(2):43,00,3a,00,5c,00,50,00,52,00,4f,00,47,00,52,00,41,00,7e,

00,44,00,4c,00,4c,00,00,00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Fax\Routing
Extensions\SBSFAX~1.DLL\Routing
Methods]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Fax\Routing
Extensions\SBSFAX~1.DLL\Routing
Methods\Store in a document library]
"FriendlyName"="Store in a document library"
"Function Name"="FaxRoutePublish"
"Guid"="{AD18492B-746F-4301-9B5D-7B82AFD944E5}"
"Priority"=dword:00000004
---cut here---
After you import it, open the registry, go to the
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Fax\Routing Extensions\SBSFAX~1.DLL
location and verify that the path for "ImageName" is correct (copy and
paste into the run line for example). Correct it as necessary.
Restart the Fax service, you should now have the Sharepoint routing option
again.
Regards,
Damian

| There's nothing in the logs which give any clue, Damian.
|
| Essentially I don't know how to route a copy of the incoming faxes to the
| library. The option to do this seems to be missing from the fax wizard,
and
| the location of the library is given as
|
| http://companyweb/Incoming Faxes/Forms/AllItems.aspx ,
|
| but where is this in the directory structure? And just how do I set up
the
| routing from the fax processes to copy to this address
|
| Thanks for your patience and insight
