I build new servers all the time in my office or house. I install
everything, do updates and antivirus. I take the box to their office
and I change the external nic settings to whatever is correct at their
office. You may have to reboot after doing this. You do run the
connect to the internet wizard from Server Management.
I have taken over 1 nic accounts that had two nic servers. I just
enabled the second nic and installed ISA. No problems. Well of course
there are adjustments but nothng that has stopped production for long.
I guess if you are rebuilding off site your will be spending the next
two days on site rejoining all the existing workstations to the new
domain? If you do not grab the active directory, every workstation
will have to be joined. This is minor if you have 2 computers. Huge if
you have 30 computers and avoidable. See swing and migration questions
that are asked at least twice a week.

I will be rebuilding a clients SBS 2K3 Premium Server this weekend but have.
to pull it offiste, meaning I will not have access to their internet
connection until early monday morning and I have a few questions.
The server has two NICs and we recomended and the client agreed that both
NICs will be used so I have some concerns about the internet NIC and the
impacts to setting up DNS, Exhange, and the other apps and tools that rely on
the Internet to function properly.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
