We need to setup a multi site network, we already have a SBS 2003 std system with 2 network adapters and is setup for OWA, RWW & VPN in our main office (15 users). Now we need to add 2 remote offices (10 users & 5 users) that already have their own Windows 2003 servers for file and print sharing and they use their ISP for POP email.I would go with the Hardware VPN. (we use Zywalls)
The users in the new remote offices will start using Outlook and the main office's Exchange, so I need to create a VPN between the sites. Can I configure "normal" VPN access between the servers? or will the users on the remote networks need to establish their own VPN connection to the server? Or should I put in routers/firewalls and setup a hardware VPN?
What is the best way to do this? Thanks for any ideas.
with what Lanwench has mentioned, just add current users to sbs domain and and the current servers as local DC and File servers for the remotes.
Setup DFS to for file shares. this way each site will grab files from a local DC.
Run a terminal server if possible for any apps that all sites need. This will reduce your WAN overhead.
You can also use your remote DC's as off site backup servers.

have site "a" backup to site "b" and "c". Gives you a 2 location backup plan.
Hope this helps
