From the description, I understand the issue is that the CAL number of your
old server is still 10 after the transfer operation. If I am off base,
please don't hesitate to let me know.
In this case, you had better to remove the CALs on the old server, to do so:
1.backup up licenses on server management.
2.go to %systemroot\system32\%, Rename the existing licstr.cpa, and then
refresh the licensing snap-in. A new store will be created, and the snap-in
will indicate the number of installed licenses as 5.

Can I do a rebuild of that server using the original CD - Will
Activation be a problem?
