Right, so it appears that you have a hosed install of veritas.
I would advise you remove veritas (including any SQL instances) and
reinstall.
this should resolve issues.

Thanks, it's getting clearer now..
I checked this morning and is shows bottom right hand corner not
connected, but clicking on the network option just shows the two media
server options greyed out, the other option logon accounts on that
menu just crashes the program.
Also when starting the program I have on some occasions seen an error
regarding "not enough server storage is available to process this
command" simon
