Hi Dane,
Thanks for posting here.
From the description, I understand the issue is that you can not get aconnection from a remote PC to device (control panel for HVAC system - not
a PC). If I am off base, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Let us refer to the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:
1.Please directly connect to the device from internal network. If it works
, do the following steps. If not, it must be related to the device, you can
contact the manufacturer.
2.please configure port forwarding in RRAS to a windows client, which
enabled remote desktop (3389 port), then use remote desktop to connect to
the computer. If it works, the RRAS port forwarding should be working and
the problem may lie in the third party device.
3.please telnet to the 3389 ports from remote PC, How will things go? Will
you get a black screen? If the telnet command succeed, the problem may lie
in the third party device.
Thanks for your time, Please try the suggestions above and let me know the
results at your earliest convenience. I look forward to hearing from you
soon.
Best regards,
Jacky Luo (MSFT)
