Hi customer,
Thanks for posting here and thanks for Matt's input.
From the description, I understand the issue is that you lose 400-500 mbdisk space every night, If I am off base, please don't hesitate to let me
know.
I.In this case, we can monitor the file usage by tools, such as filemon,
Here are the detailed steps
Please visit the following link to download and save the Filemon version
for your operating system from the following Web site:
http://www.sysinternals.com/ntw2k/source/filemon.shtml
1. Download " Download Filemon (x86 - 197 KB) - you plan on using Filemon
on 32-bit versions of NT/2K/XP/Server 2003"
2. Start FileMon to monitor the file system events.
3. Reproduce the problem.
4. Stop Filemon and save the log to file named filemon.log.
5. Please zip the log files and send the zip file to me at
v-jaluo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
You can also check the log file to see where your disk space is going.
II. Have you enabled SBS backup? By default, it periodically run at night,
so please check it.
III. Have you used the third party backup software? If so, please also
check if it use the disk space to backup.
Thanks for your time, Please try the suggestions above and let me know the
results at your earliest convenience. I look forward to hearing from you
soon.
Best regards,
Jacky Luo (MSFT)
