Re: NIC Config, conflicts and changes

Your wan ip has to be o the same network as your router. That means if
your router is at 192.168.0.1 mask 255.255.255.0 then your SBS WAN nic
has to be at 192.168.0.x.

What you have in your ipconfig is fine. You do not have to change
anything. You might want to go through the connect to the internet
wizard found in the Srver Management console.

Local Are Connection is not the WAN connection. You can change things
but they are on two different screens. Personaly I set the WAN
connection manually and then run the internet wizard. You could remove
the wins entry on the external nic. Since netbios is disabled the wins
entry doesn't do anything though.

This is an ipconfig/all from a typical SBS 2 nic install. Hiding the
mac address is silly. The only thing to hide would be the real world
ip if you have one. Your router is using a private ip so no need to
hide that.
