Re: Unexplained problem on SBS 2003 Network
Do you have any Symantec applications installed?

We have a SBS 2003 server, a Windows 2003 file server, and about 15
workstations all running XP.
A few months ago a problem started on one of the workstations and has now
increased and expanded onto other workstations but not all.
Typical symptoms (varied at different times and on different
workstations):
1. Can't print, can't open the printers & folders folder.
2. Can't get on the Internet (controlled by SBS).
3. Can receive email through Exchange (SBS) but when you reply you get the
hourglass and it won't send.
4. Can't connect (or very slow connection) to an Access database on the
file
server.
In almost every case by stopping and stopping the print spooler service on
the XP workstation will resolve the issue.
I've researched and tinkered and tried everything I know how to find the
solution.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
