RE: companyweb and Outlook stop working after ISA Install

Thanks for your input Terence. I have installed sp2 and have run CEICW many
times trying to "make it" configure itself correctly. At this point, since
it's an inherited Dell factory install that has been reconfigured several
times, instead of flogging it anymore, I'm simply going to do a complete
reisntall of SBS r2 from the ground up.

Hello Customer,.
Thank you for posting here.
According to your description, I understand that you can not connect
internal Outlook clients to Exchange and can not access companyweb after
you install ISA 2004. If I have misunderstood the problem, please don't
hesitate to let me know.
Based on my research, I suggest we try the following steps to see if we can
resolve this issue:
1. I suggest we rerun the CEICW to make sure your SBS 2003 server have
right network configuration. The wizard will create access rules in ISA
server automatic and make internal clients access SBS smoothly. Go through
the follow KB and Rerun CEICW again carefully.

2. The Outlook connection issue is mostly refer to RPC filter, therefore, I
suggest you to install the ISA 2004 sp2 to fix this issue:

Edition Service Pack 2

Please install ISA 2004 sp2 and then test this issue.
If the issue persists, please kindly help me collect some information for
further investigation:
1. Is there any error message when you access Exchange or companyweb?
Please capture screenshots on the error messages and send the pictures to
me at v-terliu@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
2. Does the Outlook on SBS have same connection issue?
3. Can you access companyweb from SBS?
Hope these steps will give you some help.
Thanks and have a nice day!
Best regards,
Terence Liu(MSFT)

| I have an sbs 2k3 r2 install in which after installing ISA 2k4 and the
| firewall clients, the connection from clients running Outlook to Exchange
| stops working (although OWA works fine) and http://companyweb is not
| accessible from clients. companyweb is accessible from the server and is
| accessible at https://companyweb:444 from clients. Prior to installing
ISA,
| everything works fine. DNS appears to still be working fine because
pings to
| companyweb and the exchange address return the appropriate IP address.
|
| Clients can access the internet without issue, the default website is
| accessible, remote access is fine, and basically everything except

work.
| I think ISA is blocking something, but haven't a clue where to look or
how to

| Thanks for any suggestions...
