Thanks for posting here.
From the description, I understand the issue is that you experienced a longlogon before you installed the Win XP sp2 client update, and the SBS SP1
update. However, after installing SBS SP1 update, your server become
normal. If I am off base, please don't hesitate to let me know.
I truly understand your concerns regarding installing SBS 2003 SP1 and I am
glad to hear that your server installed SP1 successfully at last.
Regarding the long logon problem, It is most likely due to incomplete
installation of SBS 2003 SP1, You just partly installed it, So I strongly
recommend you read the following documents since they are very important
for us to understand the installation process:
