I know this is a newsgroup for SBS2003 but I am hoping someone has
previous experience with SBS2000, plus I cannot find a "high activity"
newsgroup for SBS2000. We are using SBS2000 and it is a Domain
Controller. We periodically reboot our server (once a month) and had
to recently for a problem related to Internet access that turned out
to be unrelated to the server -it was a router issue. We tried to
login with the Administrator account like we usually do and the
password would not work. We verified the keyboard was working
correctly, tried to do it remotely, and the password would not work.
We tried 2 other user accounts that are part of the Domain
Administrators group and neither would work. We also tried an account
we setup in case this happened, and it did not work.
We think there is a problem with our password being accepted for any
user. What can we do or try to resolve this.
1. Should we be able to login to the server with another user account
that is a member of the Domain Admins?
2. If not, then somehow the password for the Administrator is corrupt
or wrong. What can we do in either case? Thanks- Hide quoted text -

We tried an RDC from a workstation on the domain to the server. The
Administrator password would not work this way either.
