I use IWA and I don't have this issue... is company web in the trusted site zone?

My users are experiencing problems connecting to the Company Internal Web Site (Companyweb) when connected to our SBS 2003 server using Remote Web Workplace and Internet Explorer 7. When selecting to "Use My Company's Internal Web Site" IE7 users receive a HTTP 500 error stating "The Web Site Can Not Display The Page". This error does not occur to users who use IE6... nor do IE7 users have any problems checking their email using Remote Web Workplace or Outlook Web Access..
Investigation of this problem on the web seems to indicate that this is probably due to how IE7 authenticates using Integrated Windows Authentication (IWA). In fact, inspection of IIS | Companyweb | Properties | Directory Security | Authentication and Access Control settings indicates that the Companyweb by default uses IWA to authenticate access. Of course this is the preferred method as no one wants to have users authenticate using Basic Authentication which allows passwords to be sent in clear text. However, IE7 users can not seem to access the Companyweb using IWA although when authenticating using Basic Authentication they can connect to the Companyweb successfully.
I guess what my question is "How do I configure the Companyweb or modify IE7 settings to allow IE7 users to authenticate using IWA? I have refused to change the Companyweb's default IWA authentication to only allow Basic Authentication just for IE7 users. I have researched this error in this forum and on the web and I can not find an acceptable solution, so any help given is most appreciated. I apologize in advance if this has been resolved before and I simply did not find it.
