KDawg,
I read that your clients who lease hasn't expired are all ok. A few
questions.
1. Do you have any other server or device issuing DHCP requests?
2. Can you add a static IP to one of the problmatic workstations and
connect?
3. Can you go to a working workstation do an ipconfig /release and then try
to renew with ipconfig /renew?

Have you tried restarting the DHCP Server service?

Hi,

Last night I added a few scope options to try to enable PXE
booting to
push an image to computers over the network. This morning, DHCP
isn't
working! I removed the options I added in but it still is not
working. I have stopped and started the service several times.

The options I added then removed are:

Vendor Specific Info
Class ID
Boot Server Host Name

And I cannot reboot the server because I am in the middle of a
scheduled backup!

Any ideas?

Thanks.

And something kind of odd.... I cannot ping the server but I can
RDP
into it. ??

I have restarted the DHCP service several times. It is authorized. I
even rebooted the server completely. No PCs are getting the IPs.
Those whose lease hasn't expired are working fine but anyone who
disconnects cannot get an IP.

I see no errors. I also tried to install RIS last night too. I don't
know why this would mess with that but I am going to try removing that.- Hide quoted text -

No, nothing else was running DHCP. Static IPs worked fine. Release
renew did not work because it gave up the IP and could not get another
one. The problem was contacting the DHCP server itself and getting a
response. it is working fine now. Thanks to everyone for all your
help.
