Thanks for the reply guys.
What happens is i connect the vpn client (have tried it with several
usernames) that works fine.
I can map drives to the SBS server, it is the only server on the network. I
can RDP to the SBS server.
For some reason i cannot access any other resourses on the network. I cant
ping any of the workstation, they are all XPpro SP2. I cant ping any of the
printers.
Can't work out what i am doing wrong, most probs something very stupid and
easy
Thanks for your help
Simon

Might be a user-type / log in / issue. You're logging in (via VPN) as you
would if you're in front of the work station? That would give you all
access
to your work station but not necessarily access to the network.

Once you connect the VPN between your remote client PC and the SBS, you
should be able to access resources pretty much normally. In particular,
you
should be able to use the remote desktop client on your remote XP box to
access any client desktop on the SBS network. If you can't, it depends
on
what the specific error is, but I'd look at your access in the settings
on
the client PC (SBS network, not the remote client).
I just connect the VPN to my SBS network from home, then pretty much
access
network resources just as I do from my desktop PC here at work. If you
can't do that, check security settings or post back more specifically
what
happens when you try. The client PCs on the SBS side are XP Pro, right?
You can't use RDC for 2K or older.

Hi,
I have a small network setup in Ireland. I am currently in Wales and
wood
like to support via VPN.
I have enabled VPN on the SBS server and I can connect to serve itself
fine. I can map drives, ping, RDP anything.
Why can't I connect to any other recourses on that network. Currently
I
have to RDP to the SBS server and then VNC to the clients.
What would I need to do to enable me to have access to the other
recourses.
I have a DSL connection in Ireland with a Static IP.
It has a Netgear DG834G router connected
VPN is enabled on the SBS 2003 Server
I am using the standard windows VPN client
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Simon
