Thanks Robert,
I tried the first part of your post to no avail. The user apparently moved,
not copied the public calendar and trying to drag it back from her mailbox
personal files gets a "not authorized" message. As she also can't create a
New public folder. And neither can I as administrator, I'll try the profile
refresh you suggest.
I'll let you know.

Hi Adam,.
Thanks for posting in our newsgroup.
From your description, I know that your customer dragged the Public Folder
to the Mailbox and wants to move it out of Mailbox. If I am off-base,
please don¡¯t hesitate to let me know.
I made a test on my test machine, when I drag the calendar from public
folder to Mailbox, the calendar is copied and the calendar can be dragged
back.
The following are the steps I made on my test machine:
1. Create a new calendar in Public folder.
2. Drag it to Mailbox. I noticed that the calendar is copied. One is in the
Mailbox and another is in the Public Folder.
3. Delete the calendar in the Public Folder, I can still drag the calendar
back to Public Folder.
5. Create a Personal Folder and then drag the calendar to Personal Folder.
6. Delete calendar in the Public Folder. I can also drag the calendar back
from Personal Folder to Public Folder.
Please check if there are two calendars in your Outlook, on is in Mailbox,
another is in Public Folder. If so, please take easy to delete the calendar
in Mailbox. To do this:
1. Right click calendar in Mailbox, select Delete.
2. Click OK.
If above doesn¡¯t work, the problem may be caused by the corrupt Outlook
profile, please try to delete and then create a new profile for this user
to see if the calendar can be drag back.
1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2. Click Switch to Classic View, and then double-click Mail.
3. In the Mail Setup dialog box, click Show Profiles. Select the profile
you use, click Remove.
4. On the General tab, click Add.
5. In the Profile Name box, type a descriptive name for the new e-mail
profile, and then click OK.
6. In the E-mail Accounts dialog box, click Add a new e-mail account, and
then click Next.
7. Click the appropriate server type for your new e-mail account, and then
click Next.
8. Type your account information in the required boxes, and then click
Next.
9. Click Finish, and then click OK.

You motioned ¡°If there's a specific file for the Exchange shared calendars
I can restore from backup I have that option too.¡± in the previous post,
yes, when you create a public folder in Outlook, it stores in C:\Program
Files\Exchsrv\mdbdata\pub1.edb on the SBS server by default.
If the problem still exists, please help me collect the information:
1. Ask another user to do the same thing on his own computer, can he drag
the calendar back?
2. The detail steps your customer did on his machine so that we can
reproduce the issue.
3. Screen Shot.
1) Press the Print Screen key once on the keyboard when you right click the
calendar in Inbox.
2) Click Start, go to Run, enter MSPAINT in the open dialog box, and then
Click OK.
3) Use Ctrl + V to paste the screenshot to the canvas.
4) From the File menu, go to Save and save it as a JPG file.
5) Send the JPG file to me.
Please send the information to v-robeli@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
If you need further assistance, please don¡¯t hesitate to let me know.
Best regards,
Robert Li(MSFT)
