The first thing you have to assume is that your server is going to be destroyed in a fire. Now where is your backup? Backup is useless if it is in the fire safe that is only rated for one hour tape or hard drive. Paper can last longer in a fire safe. But if you are storing magnesium in the same room as the server then that one hour safe is probably useless after a few minutes. Is the off site backup media sort of up to date? Is it up to date enough that it will not be too painful? Some accounts can survive a restore from a one week old hard drive or tape. Others need to restore from last night's tape. Have run a test restore from that media? Have you run a test restore using different hardware?
