Can you access this share via \\servername\sharename? Do not add groups to
the share security tab. All that is needed is you give the group EVERYONE
"FULL" access and then control permissions with ntfs at the folder levels.

In addition to file sharing permission, be sure to grant the
appropriate NTFS permission to that group under the folder properties
-> Security tab, if you have not already.

I have searched the NG's, but I can't find an answer. I am somewhat
new at this but when I use Server Management to
add a new security group,
add users to that group,
share a folder,
grant permisssion to the share for the new group
confirm that the 'user' group has security permission to the folder
The share is visible, but no one seems to have even read access.
What am I doing wrong?
