BTW, just tested this. XPHome, no service pack, works fine, both printer and
drive redirection. I'm WSUS'ing it now to see whether SP2 or the updated RDP
client change anything.

The RDP client running on XP Home should be able to redirect drives and
printers in exactly the same manner as it does on XP Pro. TTBOMK Zardoz1's
statement is incorrect.

But can they print something from their Remote workstation back to the XP
Home machine that they are using as a terminal? I honestly don't know
and haven't had the opportunity to try since I don't have any XP Home
PC's. Maybe that is what Zardoz1's problem is.

Hello!

You stated, "...while XP Home can successfully connect remotely through
RWW it cannot provide drive access for file transfer nor local printer
ability, that requires XP Pro."

That is not true. I have several clients with XP Home at their house and
who connect to their XP Pro stations at work. They can do everything
that I can do remotely with my XP Pro remote station.

Thanks LW,

You are right, perhaps I was being a little obscure in my subject line.

This was about how the clients XP home computer was connecting
successfully to the remote via RWW.

As we all know the XP home O/S cannot join a SBS domain, but it goes
further than that, while XP Home can successfully connect remotely
through RWW it cannot provide drive access for file transfer nor local
printer ability, that requires XP Pro.

It was a lesson learned today, and I'll certainly ask the question
about O/S next time.

The only reason I posted was to reinforce the excellent knowledge base
here and to save someone some angst and time.

The context will appear in a search, and that is the main thing.
