RE: No Calendar entries synch on smartphone (WM 5) for specific us

Hello Dimitris,

Thank you for kind update.

I'm glad to hear that things are working correctly for you now.

Thank you very much for sharing your resolution. I believe other customers
will get help from this post.

As you mentioned the permissions and authentication methods for each vdir
about exchange, I'd like to give you a list, the recommend authentication
methods for some popular vdirs (for referrence):

Default Web Site : Enable Anonymous Access

Integrated Windows Authentication

Exadmin : Integrated Windows Authentication

Exchange : Basic Authentication

Exchange-oma : Integrated Windows Authentication

Basic Authentication

Exchweb : Enable Anonymous Access

OMA : Basic Authentication

Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync : Basic Authentication

Public : Integrated Windows Authentication

Basic Authentication

Remote : Enable Anonymous Access

Integrated Windows Authentication

For your CRM installation issue, I'm afraid I can not help you. I'm only
handling SBS issues for SBS newsgroup post. This is the process I have to
follow. You can post the issue in CRM newsgroup. Thank you for
understanding.

Please do not hesitate to post in this great newsgroup if you need any
assistance in the future. I look forward to working with you again.

Thank you and have a nice day,

Terence Liu

Best regards,

Terence Liu(MSFT)

| Terence,
|
| I am writing to tell you that the bug was solved, so that there is no
need
| for you to attempt to perform the tests.
|
| The solution came after comparing 3 installations of SBS. Two of them had
| similar problems, the other one (a straight R2 installation) had no
concern
| whatsoever with both phones.
|
| Since I did make many alterations to the IIS configuration and to ISA
2004 I
| cannot be sure what exactly made it work but I can bring you the common
| denominator.
|
| In ISA 2004's Firewall Policy Web Listener I used the explicit address of
| the external interface and not the option "The default IP address on the
ISA
| server computer in the selected network" (despite the fact that only one
was
| the external IP).
|
| In the IIS configuration, I blank the Realm (under the default domains)
and
| I also removed the Integrated authentication in a couple of directories
(OMA,
| Microsoft-Sever-ActiveSync, Exchange). Exchange-OMA is left with both
| Integrated and Basic Authentication.
|
| Finally I disabled the content expiration (in the headers section) for
all
| the above virtual directories.
|
| Thanks again for all your efforts
|
| Dimitris
