Hi hines,
Thanks for posting here.
From the description, I understand the issue is that a suspicious user's MyDocs folder does not have a right-click menu item for "Synchronize" and
when the user log off, you can't ensure if the folder that tries to sync is
my My Docs folder. In addition, his account and yours are trying to sync
the same folder. If I am off base, please don't hesitate to let me know.
I Let us refer to the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:
1. please reset the offline files cache or database on each client that is
affected. Please refer to the following KB article to do re-initialize the
offline files cache and database
230738 How to re-initialize the Offline Files Cache/Database
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=230738
User Profiles and Folder Redirection FAQ
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver2003/community/centers/management/mana
ge_faq.mspx
after re-initialization, then you log off the problematic user and log on
again, view offline file to see if my document's file appear, to do so:
my computer ->tools -> Folder Options -> Offline Files tab -> view files,
if appear, can prove that when the user log off, the folder that tries to
sync is my My Docs folder.
2. right-click on My Docs, click properties, check the value of target
folder location, make sure it's a UNC path like
\\servername\users\username\my documents, not a local path c:\documents and
settings\username\my documents, if show a local path, indicate that your
group policy on the user have not been applied. Regarding the group policy
not being applied, there are too many reasons, so we don't discuss it now.
II If the issue persists, please help me collect the following information
for analysis:
1.what is your operation system of client computer, windows xp or windows
2003, if windows 2003 , user's My Docs folder does not have a right-click
menu item for "Synchronize".
2. by default, SBS have automatically created shared folder for folder
redirection for each user, \\servername\users\username\my documents, you
have mentioned that his account and yours are trying to sync the same
folder, I don't know what do you mean. Based on my knowledge, It's
impossible unless you manually changed small business server folder
redirection group policy. Can you elaborate on what do you think about this?
3. please tell me your detailed folder redirection setting. To do this:
a find out small business server folder redirection GPO, right-click and
select edit, go to user configuration->windows setting->folder
redirection->my documents, right-click my documents and click properties.
b what's the value of target folder location and root path, write them down
and let me know the value.
4.
a. Run command "GPRESULT /V >c:\gp.txt" and send gp.txt to me at
v-jaluo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
b. On the Windows server, click Start -> Run, type in "gpmc.msc", click OK.
Right-click Group Policy Results and click Group Policy Results Wizard...,
click Next, select "Another computer", type the name of a "problematic"
client and click Next. Select "Select a specific user" and then select the
user who has the problem, click Next. Follow the instructions to generate a
group policy result report, right-click the report and click Save Report.
Then send it to me at v-jaluo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
c. Logon the client with problematic user account, install the GPMC tool
and re-create a Group Policy results by choosing "This Computer", "Current
User". And also mail the report to me at v-jaluo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
You can down the tool and get more information in the following link:

forward to your reply.
Have a nice day!
