Hi Mal,

Thanks for posting here.

From the description, I understand the issue is that when you moved SBS to
a new domain on the full server2003, some of the old client machines still
try to synchronize with the SBS server. If I am off base, please don't
hesitate to let me know.

I Let us refer to the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:

1.based on your description, some of the old client machines have the
problem, I suspect that your folder redirection group policy have not been
refreshed, so please run gpupdate both server and problematic client
computer.

2.Restart the problematic client computer to take the group policy effect.

3.run gpresult on problematic client machine and check what group policy
have been applied.

4.run gpresult on normal client machine and check what group policy have
been applied. Note: use the same account to log on

5.Compare the two results to check what are the difference between them.

6.Make sure that folder redirection group policy have listed in applied
group policy objects.

7. check folder redirection GPO setting, make sure that root path point to
new full 2003 server rather than old SBS server. to do so:

a find out folder redirection GPO, right-click and select edit, go to user
configuration->windows setting->folder redirection->my documents,
right-click my documents and click properties.

b what is the value of target folder location and root path, Especially
about root path, it should be set to the right UNC path which is your
desired value on new server rather than your old SBS server.

Please refer to the following KB about folder redirection

II If the issue persists, please help me collect the following
information for analysis:

1.I am not very clear about your ¡°move¡± operation, does it mean
migration or full new domain creation?

a if migration, what method do you use? does SBS still be used as member
server or DC? if as DC, which server act as FSMO role, SBS or full 2003
server?

b If a full new domain creation, have you re-join all the client computer
to the new domain? Have you recreated GPO for folder redirection?

2. please tell me your detailed folder redirection setting. To do this:

a find out folder redirection GPO, right-click and select edit, go to user
configuration->windows setting->folder redirection->my documents,
right-click my documents and click properties.

b what¡¯s the value of target folder location and root path, write them
down and let me know the value. Especially about root path, it should be
set to the right UNC path which is your desired value on new server rather
than your old SBS server.

c
1. Run command "GPRESULT /V >c:\gp.txt" and send gp.txt to me at

click Next, select "Another computer", type the name of a "problematic"
client and click Next. Select "Select a specific user" and then select the
user who has the problem, click Next. Follow the instructions to generate a
group policy result report, right-click the report and click Save Report.
Then send it to me at v-jaluo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

3. Logon the client with problematic user account, install the GPMC tool
and re-create a Group Policy results by choosing "This Computer", "Current
User". And also mail the report to me at v-jaluo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
