RE: Unable to browse network

Hello Stuart,

Thank you for posting here.

According to your description, I understand that there is one laptop
client, when use WiFi connection, it can not browse network and Internet,
when use Ethernet connection, it can full access. If I have misunderstood
the problem, please don't hesitate to let me know.

Please let me that this connection issue happens on only one WiFi client or
happens on all WiFi clients.

If other laptops also have the issue, that means the whole wireless network
can not work. You should request help from those who set up your wireless
network for support.

If only 1 laptop has the issue, please kindly help me collect some
information for further investigation:

1. Please let me know the network topology, and how do you connect to SBS
via WiFi?

2. Did the laptop join domain?

3. Is there any error when you try to access the network share folder and
Internet?

4. Do you install ISA firewall client on laptop? Do you configure IE proxy
on laptop?

5. Please gather outcome of command ipconfig /all on laptop and SBS, then
send to me at v-terliu@xxxxxxxxxxxxx

6. What do you mean by "I have removed the client from the domain and
rejoined using a different client computer name"?

7. Can you ping other computers form this problematic laptop?

Hope these steps will give you some help.

Thanks and have a nice day!

Best regards,

Terence Liu(MSFT)

| Running SBS2003R2 and ISA2004 with WinXP SP2 clients. One laptop is now
| unable to access netwok folders or browse the network. The client has had
its
| OS reinstalled. Following this, it has been working correctly. However,
it
| can access the internet, the SBS sharepoint site and it can connect to
the
| server via Remote Desktop. I have removed the client from the domain and
| rejoined using a different client computer name.
|
| The laptop generally uses WiFi to connect (and this doesn't work) but
when I
| connect via the ethernet port and cable I get full access.
|
| Any ideas gratefully received!
