I hate jumping on threads. I am not looking for anyone to answer my issue. I am just sharing a miss-adventure.
I have a new Dell Inspiron 820 that worked fine the first day I delivered it. The wireless nic was disabled to join the domain. I joined the domain using connect computer and a hard wire. I installed the domain apps. That means the SQL application and the app to see stuff in the SCO server. The wireless was later enabled. A few days later I get a report that the laptop cannot print and cannot see the server. It can get to the internet though. It can ping the server. The laptop has the dreaded Broadcom57xx nic.
I did run winsockxpfix because the wireless nic was stuck with the user's home Comcast dns info. That stuff should have been flushed when the wireless saw the domain wireless. Reboot and Comcast dns is gone but no domain connection. Internet and server ping by ip still works. I can see the internet via wireless or hard ware but that is all a bit flakey as I enable disable nics.
Another note. The machine was seeing the domain and running the SBS*.bat. It seemed to lose the domain connection when running the Trend autopcc.exe that is in my batch file. I put a rem in the batch file so Trend would not try to install of update. I uninstalled Trend. Rebooted and still no network joy.
I called Dell. While I was waiting to talk to someone the machine refused to boot in normal mode. It will boot in safe mode. It will not boot in normal with msconfig all unchecked except services. They said format the hard drive and start over. I am not happy but that is nothing new.
I was going to watch this thread to see what laptop he was having issues with.

Hello Stuart,.
Thank you for posting here.
According to your description, I understand that there is one laptop client, when use WiFi connection, it can not browse network and Internet, when use Ethernet connection, it can full access. If I have misunderstood the problem, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Please let me that this connection issue happens on only one WiFi client or happens on all WiFi clients.
If other laptops also have the issue, that means the whole wireless network can not work. You should request help from those who set up your wireless network for support.
If only 1 laptop has the issue, please kindly help me collect some information for further investigation:
1. Please let me know the network topology, and how do you connect to SBS via WiFi?
2. Did the laptop join domain?
3. Is there any error when you try to access the network share folder and Internet?
4. Do you install ISA firewall client on laptop? Do you configure IE proxy on laptop?
5. Please gather outcome of command ipconfig /all on laptop and SBS, then send to me at v-terliu@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
6. What do you mean by "I have removed the client from the domain and rejoined using a different client computer name"?
7. Can you ping other computers form this problematic laptop?
Hope these steps will give you some help.
Thanks and have a nice day!
Best regards,
Terence Liu(MSFT)
