RE: Is there a way to public the fax printer in SBS to the interne

Hello David,

Thank you for kind update.

As you said you want to use RPC over HTTP to connect external Outlook
client to SBS Exchange, then send fax.

Based on my research, we do not support this method to send fax, and we are
not sure this method can work.

I can only give you some general documents about RPC over HTTP and Fax
Transport:

Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 RPC over HTTP Deployment Scenarios

How to configure ISA Server 2006 or ISA Server 2004 to allow for RPC over
HTTP client connections from Office Outlook 2003 to Exchange Server 2003
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=884506

"Fax Mail Transport" Must Precede "Microsoft Fax Transport" in Delivery
Transports List

Hope the info above helps.

Thanks and have a nice day!

Best regards,

| I think I found a way by using the Fax Transport that is loaded in
Outlook
| when faxing is set up in SBS. I haven't checked into it but what I read
| implied that the Outlook Fax Transport allowed Outlook to send an email
that
| the server would interpret as a fax to be sent. I'm hoping that since
Outlook
| uses RPC over HTTP, this would allow my users to send a fax from any
location.
