Hello David,
Thank you for posting here.
According to your description, I understand that you want to publish the
fax printer in SBS to the Internet. If I have misunderstood the problem,
please don't hesitate to let me know.
Based on my research, it is not applicable.
Internet Printer will provide an interface based on HTTP, the Internet user
can access it from anywhere. However, a Fax client cannot send fax only
based on HTTP. We are not able to publish native SBS fax printer as
internet printer and the Internet user can not access it from remote. It is
designed for local usage only.
I understand that this limitation may inconvenience our users and we
apologize for the inconvenience you faced. In our efforts to continue to
improve our products, you are welcome to add your suggestions in
Partnerfeedback newsgroup to make Microsoft products easier and more
powerful to use. Thanks for your understanding.
Hope info above will give you some help.
Thanks and have a nice day!
Best regards,
Terence Liu(MSFT)

| There are a lot of these internet fax companies that offer a plugin for
| windows but SBS already has a fax printer. I know it is limited but I was
| wondering if there is a way that a printer can be published as an
internet
| printer?
|
| Obviously it would be best if it required some type of authentification
and
| while I have no idea how it seems like it wouldn't be that difficult.
|
| Thanx, David.
