Also, if not set already on the workstation(s), set the Network Location
Awareness service to automatic startup and then reboot.

Hi Merv,
thanks for the reply.
I had followed the same information on the smallbizserver.com to set up
the server.
I do have a static IP from my ISP and have opened ports 443 and 4125.
But I still can't connect to the PCs listed in the RWW. I get error
message "connectivity to remote computer could not be established"
One thing I noticed that in the client PC Windows firewall is enabled
and the disable button is greyed out.
Thanks.

You use ConnectComputer to connect the workstations to the SBS domain.
For
RWW, in the router, you forward ports 443 and 4125 to the IP address of
the
external NIC. Then on the SBS server, you run CEICW, enable the
firewall,
select the services you want/need, complete the Web Server Certificate
and
then finish CEICW.

Hi,
I am having problems setting up remote desktop connection for a client
PC.
My Windows 2003 SBS has two network cards with the following setting:
Local Area Connection
IP: 192.168.1.10
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1 (Linksys router)
DNS: 192.168.16.2
Server Local Area Connection:
IP: 192.168.16.2
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway:
DNS: 192.168.16.2
I am not sure how to setup the remote desktop on client PC! If I give
it a static IP of 192.168.16.xxx, then how do I open port on the
Linksys router? Its ports are mapped to 192.168.1.xxx.
If I connect the PC directly to the router and give the PC a static IP
of 192.168.1.xxx, then it won't be on the network anymore and I can't
login.
I tried to find something on the server that would allow me to do this
but I couldn't.
I have setup remote desktops on a single card server but I am not sure
how to proceed on two network cards. On single card, I open a port
(3390) and map it to the PC's static IP, and change the registry value
for RDP so that instead of using 3389, it uses 3390. I cna thenn
connect to that PC using the 70.80.90.100:3390.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
