Thanks Steve... Yep! I think a rebuild is in order. Again everyone, thanks
for your time and help. Grant

Well that's a fairly important piece of info-an install of ISA 2006 was
attempted which is unsupported. Maybe a call to CSS is in order to see if
they can straighten it out for you. Or yes do a swing migration to retain
your AD etc. and then a clean install of ISA 2004.

Hi Susan. the icwlog.txt file as requested. I see that there appears to be
a
problem with the validation of the NIC. However, as soon as I uninstall
ISA
Server 2004 the wizard runs perfectly and intranet & network work
perfectly.
Another thing that I noticed was that the faxing service on SBS is no
longer
working either with or without ISA Server... A few weeks ago I downloaded
and
installed the trial version of ISA Server 2006 then relised that it
wouldn't
work with SBS and then uninstalled it. I wonder if this has something to
do
with this problem... I'm begining to think that a migration and a
reinstall
of SBS might be the way to go. Any thoughts and advice would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks. Grant

Hi All. Got a bit of a problem that I don't seem to be able to work my
way
out of. I running SBS 2003 + SP1 and I'm trying to install ISA Server
2004
(on the same machine). Everytime I install ISA Server, it installs
without
any problems and the Configure email & Internet Connection Wizard
starts
(auto) and I go through the configuration process and continue at the
confirmation page. The wizard starts "Network Configuration" and
immediately
stops with the message "An Error Occured While Configuring a Component"
(very
helpfull) and won't go any further. At this point both the LAN and the
Internet are unreachable - nothing works. I've tried manually
configuring
both without any luck. I Googled the error and MS said that it was a
DNS
Forward Lookup Zone problem - I checked that the FLZ was set to Active
Directory-Intergrated as suggested... it was. As soon as I uninstall
ISA
Server, the Configure email & Internet Connection Wizard runs
perfectly, and
everything is up and running as normal. I've posted on the ISA
newsgroup and
was told that this is a SBS problem. Has anyone got any ideas how to
get
around this, any suggestions at all would be appreciated. Thanks. Grant
