OK, that gives us some information to work with. Since you are not
using Exchange, you cannot use Outlook Web Access. I assume Corp HQ is
not using it as well as you said it does not provide adequate sharing
functions. (Soap Box: SBS and VPN technology can 99% of the time
provide adequate security, etc to satisfy most regulatory
requirements...that being said :) ) Installing and using Exchange for
everything BUT the email may be overkill, but it is definately and
option. You can also look elsewhere, like:
Google Calendar
and
Google Groups for mailing list etc (Have not use the ml featues, not
sure if it will do what you want)
Maybe someone else can chime in with some other 3rd party suggestions.

Thanks, Stacemen.
I work within a large corporation and we have to run our e-mail through
their system. Ours is a stand alone network within our branch and therefore,
can't use the e-mail function (regulatory reasons). However, the corporate
side does not provide adequate contact and/or calendar functions (sharing)
which is very important to our department. So, we built four of those little
Shuttle toaster workstations and a server. The workstations are running
WinXP Pro w/SP2. We are not running Exchange.
Our corporate side provides remote access for e-mail, and I would like to do
something similar for our Contacts & Calendar. We would have to pay for an
expert out of our own pockets, since it is our own network. But, I'm eager
to read & learn and give it a shot before we go down that path. Thanks.

Tim, my first suggestion would be to bring in a SBS Specialist to walk
you through proper set up of you system. It can be done by someone
with some knowledge, but an expert will give you the BEST and MOST
SECURE setup.
That being said, are you guys using Exchange or just Outlook? Why no
email? Give us an idea of the setup of your existing system, both
hardware and software wise, but also how you guys handle email, etc so
we can better understand your situation and offer advice.

Andy...
Thanks for the quick reply. As I indicated, I'll need baby steps/lots of
info. What is RWW and Outlook Web Access? Thanks.

What about enabling RWW and Outlook Web Access?

My past questions here have received great answers, so here we go again!
We use SBS 2003 to share the Outlook Contacts & Calendar (no e-mail). Can
someone please get me started on a way to accessing the Calendar & Contacts
over the web remotely (a web site, some Tech notes, etc). I "inheirited"
this tech support position and am definately a neophyte, so baby steps are
appreciated.
