Hi everyone - here is the scoop. New install of SBS 2003 R2, about two weeks
old. Running exchange, ISA 2004, WSUS, & company web. Yesterday, one of my
workstations exhibited the following symptoms - Cannot access server shares,
Can Access Internet, Can use Outlook (exchange functions working fine),
workstation gets a little offline computer in the system tray & will not
reconnect to the network. I've logged on as administrator & the problem
exists still, no matter who is logged on to the workstation. If the
workstation is rebooted, normal operation resumes for a few moments, but
then, all of the sudden, network shares aren't accessible anymore. There are
no crazy third party appz that are running. Just your standard SOHO
workstation w/Office & the typical appz.
Now, today I come in & three out of 8 users are exhibiting the exact same
symptom!!! So, here is an ipconfig all of the server & one of the
workstations. verything was working fine prior to yesterday....I think it is
just crazy that exchange works, but other network functions dont? Oh yeah,
Server is pingable from workstations by both name & IP. All workstations in
our LAN are new machines, & so is the SBS box....everything seems to be going
good but this & it is killing me!
