RE: send email with exchange in a domain and SBS

Hello Santi,

Thank you for posting here.

According to your description, I do not understand what you want to clearly.

If you want to share one user's mailbox to others, I suggest we try the
following method to resolve this issue:

Method 1: Public Folders
==================
We modify the permissions of Public Folders and mail enable in ESM on the
Exchange server.

1. In ESM, expand Servers->ServerName->First Storage Group->Public Folders
Store->Public Folders

2. Locate the public folder you want to share.

3. Right click the folder and click Properties.

4. In the Permissions tab, click Client Permissions. Add the user accounts
who want to access the email and tick Read items.

5. Click Ok to return

6. Then click E-mail Addresses tap, the SMTP address is the email address
of this Publish Folders, and you can send email to this address and other
can read the email from this Public Folders.

Method 2: Open multiple Exchange mailboxes in Outlook
====================
1. Grant "read" permissions for other user accounts

a. On an Exchange computer, click Start , point to Programs , point to
Microsoft Exchange , and then click Active Directory Users and Computers.

b. On the View menu, click to select Advanced Features .

c. Expand Users, right-click the MailboxOwner object where you want to
grant the permission, and then click Properties.

d. Click the Security tab, and then click Advanced.

e. In the Access Control Settings for MailboxOwner dialog box, click Add.

f. In the Select User, Computer, or Group dialog box, click the user
account or the group that you want to grant "read" permissions to, and then
click OK.

g. In the Permission Entry for MailboxOwner dialog box, click This Object
Only in the Apply onto list.

h. In the Permissions list, locate Read, and then click to select the Allow
check box.

i. Click OK three times to close the dialog boxes.

2. Configure profile on Outlook, please find the detail steps in the
following KB:

How to manage multiple Exchange mailbox accounts in Outlook 2002 and
Outlook 2003
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=291626

If you want to access mailbox from any workstation, I suggest you to use
OWA via http://SBSServerName/exchange or https://SBSServerName/exchange.
The OWA will be conveniences for mobile users.

If I'm misunderstand you, please let me know what you mean by "my idea is
that a user from any machine can see his mail, for it he had thought to use
the Exchange that comes with the SBS".

And you mentioned "What I have not obtained: - Send any mail from the
computer clients", I suggest you try to use OWA to send email. Is it work?

If the issue persists, please kindly help me collect some information for
further investigation:

1. Is there any error message when you send emails?

2. Can you send email to internal mailboxes?

3. Please collect the MPS Report for Exchange.

a) Download MPSRPT_Exchange.EXE from the following link:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=cebf3c7c-7ca5-408f-
88b7-f9c79b7306c0&displaylang=en

b) Double-click the executable file to start the report gathering tool, and
then accept the end-user licensing agreement (EULA). Note Please be patient
while MPS Reports collects data. The tool may appear to stop responding
(hang) because it may take from five to 15 minutes to collect the data.

c)> The tool creates a CAB file named "%COMPUTERNAME%_MPSReports_.CAB" in
the %systemroot%\MPSReports\Setup\Reports\Cab folder. The CAB file contains
the reports that the MPS Reporting Tool generated. If the tool does not
create the CAB file, copy all the files in the
%systemroot%\MPSReport\Setup\Reports folder to a compressed (zipped) file.
Note The %systemroot% folder is the folder where you installed the
operating system. By default, this is the C:\WINDOWS folder.

d) Send me the CAB file or the compressed (zipped) file at:
v-terliu@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hope info above will give you some help.

Thanks and have a nice day!

Best regards,
