If all the settings look the same as another SBS install, you may need to
remove/reinstall Companyweb. I'm assuming that you have installed .NET 2.0
on the SBS server.
If you need to reinstall, here's the KB covering removal/reinstall of
Companyweb in SBS 2003...
How to remove and how to install the Windows Small Business Server 2003
SharePoint Services companyweb Web site

Hi Clarv,
yes, you are right. Company web is not working and summary e-mails are
probably generated by company web (sharepoint).
I tried compare configuration of companyweb with others installation and I
didn't find any difference :-(( I just tried forbid all IIS services and
restart server and after that check if some application listen on port
8081
(sharepoint port in SBS) and any application listeon on port 8081, 80 nad
443.
How exactly check if problem is in companyweb or how recover companyweb?

After reading through this thread, I believe the problem is with the
Company Web not running. In Tomas' first post, he mentioned that is was
interesting that the company web had the same problem. With my limited
experience with SBS 2003 and RWW, I do believe that company web must be
working for RWW to work also.
Tomas, have you looked at IIS manager to make sure all the sites are
running, especially Company Web? I think you may find your problem
there.

I also wrotte, that it doesn't work http://companyweb ... same result
also summary which is send to administrator with figures of users

comes with "Page cannot be found"... it is funny because it is e-mail
and
there is html with Paga cannot be found!!!!
As like I wrote, if you write http://office.procesinvest.cz/remote/ you
are
correctly redirected to https://office.procesinvest.cz/remote/ .... you
can
test it. And I mean, that "Page cannot be found" is genrated by IIS and
no by
IE. You can check it... if you see czech "Page cannot be found" it
means that
is from IIS and not from you english IE.
Tom
Then
try to access RWW via: http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/remote

From server yes, from workstation on Monday. It is in czech, but I
think
that
you don't need traslation. If yes I will do it, or you can use

Hi Merv,
I think that your would be better in my language when most of
the IT
documents are in czech :-)))
Now to your question:
Yes, I am sure, that my router forward all tcp traffic from port
4125
to
SBS
NIC. But I don't know why it is necessary because it doesn't
work from
workstation and server too. (I tried write in my last reply).
Yes again, I run CEICW many times over everytime success and
everytime
it
didn't help with RWW (I speak about https://server/remote, all
other
functionality work). Firewall is not turned on and it cannot be
on
because
in
SBS server is only one NIC (and my knowledge says that in this
situation
SBS
server disallow me turn it on).
I also tried rerun SBS installation without any effect.
And all event logs are fine .... everything is blue only some
rows are
yellow and it means that printer is out off paper :-/

So, you are saying that in your firewall hardware device, port
4125 is
forwarded to your SBS NIC? And that you have run CEICW on the
SBS
server,
enabled the SBS firewall, selected the RWW service and
completed
CEICW?
Does CEICW complete without errors?

Sorry for my english.
Yes, I have separate firewall device. SBS has just one NIC
and there
is
not
any firewall.

Yes, it is and it doesn't work. But I am sure, that
firewall is
not
used
if
you access server from LAN.
What you mean that solve port 4125?
Tom
"Merv Porter [SBS-MVP]" wrote:
OK. So, in the "firewall" configuration (I assume this
is a
router/firewall), port 4125 needs to be forwarded to the
IP
address
of
the
SBS NIC.

Hi Merv,
it is SBS2003 standard SP1 (it is new installation (4
weeks)
and
it
newer
works ... what I knew)
there is not forwarded port 4125 .... rww doesn't work
either
from
workstation nor from server.
Server has only one NIC and it is behind firewall.
I tested use CEICW and it didn't help. I did it now
again and
there
are
same
problem.
:-((

Hi Tomas,
Is this SBS 2003 (SP1) Standard or Premium (ISA 2000,
ISA
2004?)?
In the router, make sure port 4125 is forwarded to the
IP
address
of
the
SBS
NIC (f a single NIC + router network configuration) or
to the
external
NIC
(if a 2 NIC + router network configuration). Then run
CEICW
again,
enable
the firewall, select the services you want (including
RWW),
set
up
the
Web
Server Certificate and complete CEICW.

Hello,
I have terrible problem with one SBS network. I have
many
experiences
with
SBS2003, but anywhere wasn't problem like this. This
is CZ
version,
but
I
think it doesn't matter.
If I want connect to http://server/remote that pages
are
correctly
redirected to https. It is offered certificate and
after
that
it
showed
"Page
cannot be displayed". There is same behavior from
server,
from
workstation
and from outside.
It is interested that root of web server works and
http://server/exchange
works too without any problem. I tried check if some
application
is
not
on
port 80, 443 or 8081 and there is not any conflict.
Interested is that same problem is on
http://companyweb
(from
server
and
from workstation too).
I tried re-run wizard for setting internet on SBS,
but it
doesn't
help.
I
tried in this wizard everything block and again
allow and
it
doesn't
help
too. I tried (in despair) re-run installation of SBS
(functional
overlay)
and
only one thing was changed - disk quota was turn on
back
:-(
RPC over HTTPS and VPN works fine.
I checked access permission to c:\inetpub\remote and
there
are
same
like
on
.
