Netiher of these patches would cause this... it feels more like DNS issues
Can you post ipconfig /all from a server and a workstation?

Hi,.
Some of you may recall, that our 2003 SBS server a while ago exhibited a strange behavior where none of the client computer could log into the domain any longer without very long waiting times. From entering the domain username and password it could have taken up to 3 hours to log in.
we tried this and that and things got so bad that we rebuild the server several times and finally destroyed the whole installation including all client computers and rebuilt them all.
Everything worked great for several weeks until just yesterday we updated the server with the KB908521 and KB925876 patches. After the restart the client computer logons takes very long and all the server shares are unavailable but on (\\servername\users). The only way we can access the servers resources is to log the client computers into a workgroup and than browse the network and all shares from the server are visible and can be accessed after entering the domain credentials.
To me, it still feel like the secure channel in-between the server and the client computers fails or has some sort of a problem? One of the client computer does logs events 40960 / 40961 what implies that a hotfix would have to be installed (KB891559) but the Kerberos.dll file on that machine has a 06/15/2005 date code.
The Ports 88; 3268 and 3269 are open on the server.
We are stuck again. It would be great if someone could shed some light on this.
All replies are greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Stefan
