Hi
All working now, that fixed it.
The odd problem was, that until you install Messenger Live it would all work.
But once installled it would stop, even uninstalling Live and reinstalling
7.5 did not cure???
But again thanks for your help.
Yes I will bring up the VPN problem on another post. I only brought it up
incase it had a bearing on the fualt, as it happend at tyhe same time, during
updates.
Thanks for the support

Hello Jim,.
Thank you for kind update.
Based on my further research, I suggest we try the following steps to see
if we can make Windows Live Messenger 8.0 to work:
1. Please open ISA 2004 console, select Firewall Policy node
2. Find SBS Internet Access Rule in middle pane, right-click it, select
Configure HTTP
3. Click Methods tap, ensure select Allow all methods
4. Click Signatures tap, remove all signatures in the box, then click OK
5. Move this SBS Internet Access Rule to top in the policies list
6. Click Apply button to finish.
7. Test this issue.
Additional, the VPN issue is another problem, it is no relationship with
this post. You need to create a new post to get help.
Please understand that our newsgroup is an issue based service, meaning we
usually respond to one question/issue per post. This will lessen the
confusion for both of us, as well as ensure that our results are accurate
and not a result of a test for a different question.
Hope these steps will give you some help.
Thanks and have a nice day!
Best regards,
Terence Liu(MSFT)
