Re: Accessing SBS 2003 Shares with XP Home

I have setup a few xp home clients this way but I have put a new server
in and installed the same as always but CAN NOT connect to even a share
from XP home. It brings up user name and password box and then just
comes back to it everytime I put in correct user name adn password. I
can see in server in network neighborhood. Just can see any of the
shares. I have tried user password and admin password. I can't figure
out what I did differently then the last 3 servers I installed on other
networks. It just worked.

I know XP home can NOT join a domain but I have always gotten it to
access shares very easily.

in XP Pro?

4. What effect would changing the WORKGROUP name of the XP Home PC to match
the DOMAIN name of the server? I read somewhere that this may help some
issues, but it was unclear as to what it might help.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
