Hello Customer,
Thank you for posting here.
According to your description, I understand that the new accounts cannot
access one internal link. If I have misunderstood the problem, please don't
hesitate to let me know.
First, I have to confirm whether it is a default SPS link or it is a link
in the web site which created by yourself. Please capture a screenshot on
the screen and send the picture to me at v-terliu@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Based on my research, I suggest we try the following steps to see if we can
resolve this issue:
1. Please open Active Directory Users and Computers, right-click
problematic account select properties
2. Select the Account tab, click "Log on to..." button
3. Select All Computers.
4. Click Ok twice to finish.
If the problematic clients have installed IE7, I suggest we try the
following steps to see if we can resolve this issue:
a. Open Control Panel on your XP, went to Add/Remove Programs->Add/Remove
Windows Components
b. Uninstall Internet Explorer Enhanced Security by unchecking the same.
c. Restarted IE 7.
d. Test this issue.
Then, test this issue.
Additional, please ensure that the new accounts have NTFS security
permission on this folder. (open properties of this folder, select Security
tab)
If the issue persists, please kindly help me collect some information for
further investigation:
1. Can old accounts access this link?
2. Please let me know the detail address of this problematic link.
3. Please try to logon the new account on the no problematic machine. Does
it work?
4. What project in the folders which the link points to?
Hope these steps will give you some help.
Thanks and have a nice day!
Best regards,
Terence Liu(MSFT)

| I am having some problem and I hope you can help. After adding a new user
| they can access our internal web site and everything on it except one
link to
| a series of folders containing projects that they and others are working
on.
| When they click the link they get the logon screen (the one you get when
you
| don't have permission to access the internet). if you enter their login
info
| and click OK the login screen reappears. If you click "Cancel" this is
the
| message "Access denied. You do not have permission to preform this action
or
| access this resource. You can request below that the owner give you
access to
| the resource." I have checked and all permission on the Share point site
as
| well as the permissions set in Active Directory are the same as others,
same
| groups, member of are the same. I feel peally dumb on this one.
