RE: Web Publishing...

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

Hello Customer,

Thank you for posting here.

According to your description, I understand that you want to publish
multiple web sites on your SBS server. If I have misunderstood the problem,
please don't hesitate to let me know.

Based on my research, we can publish multiple websites on SBS server via
IIS depend on different Host Header or TCP port sine you have only one
Internet IP address.

Method 1:

Please go through the following KB to configure different Host Headers for
your web sits:

HOW TO: Use Host Header Names to Configure Multiple Web Sites in Internet
Information Services 6.0
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=324287

Method 2:

Please configure your different web sites on different TCP ports via the
following KB:

How to Change the TCP Port for IIS Services
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=149605

Then you can access your multiple web sites via:
http://www.yourdomain.com:port

Of course, you can install ISA on your SBS server and then publish web
sites by ISA publishing rule. However, ISA is not necessary. For more info:

How to configure Web publishing rules to host multiple Web sites with host
headers in ISA Server
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=838252

Configuring Web publishing rules to host multiple Web sites with host
headers in ISA Server

Hope info above will give you some help.

Thanks and have a nice day!

Best regards,

| Anyone able to guide me on how to publish a site on my server (programs,
| folders/paths)? I do have a static IP from my ISP and I can access my
company
| website from the internet, however, I want to know how I publish another
site
| (multiple sites if possible) on the server. If there are any articles
I'd
| greatly appreciate it.
|
| I am also having complications understanding ISA server abiities. Is ISA
| necessary for web publishing? Which template or configuration would be
best
| for a simple web site type server?
|
| Thank you in advance.
