Hello Toxic,
Thank you for kind update.
Depend on your new condition; I suggest we try the following steps to see
if we can resolve this issue:
1. Please rerun the CEICW wizard on the SBS server carefully going through
the following KB, it will correct the network connection:
825763 How to configure Internet access in Windows Small Business Server
2003
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=825763
2. Please try to use IE on your SBS server to access the FTP server. Ensure
the IE use passive FTP mode
Please open IE->Tools->Internet Options->Advanced, tick Use Passive FTP
If the issue persists, please kindly help me collect some information for
further investigation:
1. Try to access this FTP server from another client. What is the result?
2. Is ISA server installed on the SBS server? Which edition?
3. Can you telnet port 20 on your SBS?
4. What kind of FTP server are you using?
Hope these steps will give you some help.
Thanks and have a nice day!
Best regards,
Terence Liu(MSFT)

| Oops lets try again.
| From my SBS going out via an adsl line I can connect to another SBS box
in
| another region. I can connect, user name, password, then when I do a dir
or
| ls I get the error.
| BUT
| When I use my XP box that goes out through the SBS and then through the
ADSL
| everything works fine.
