Re: Connecting to exchange from outside domain

I've seen this happen when a domain is rebuilt under a different name,
i.e. start off with company.lan, then rebuild using the cmpny.lan name.

Thanks for your reply.

It seems the problem as simply with the email addreses people were
sending to. In outlook, a list of past recipients automatically comes
up (auto-complete), and the addresses for people with my organisation
in these people's autocomplete weren't working.

If I get my usres to choose the receipients from the list, all seems to
work fine!

Dear all,

I have had to re-install my SBS 2003 from scratch. Previoulsy I had
three sites, one with the server in and all users in the domain. the
other two had local workgroups, but could still connect to exchange no
problem using a VPN, even though they weren't logged in to the domain.

Since re-installing, all my users in all locations can log in to
exchange and send emails externally, but for some odd reason, a few of
them cannot send emails to certain recipients within the
orgainisation, and it seems to be regarldess of the recipoents
location (i.e. within the domain or otherwise).

Any ideas anyone?

Many thanks, Mark

Are the remote users connecting to the Exchange box using RPC over HTTP? A
regular MAPI connection?
