"You have 2 routers"
Sorry, I meant to say that they can't ping the gateway on the 2nd Nic. We
have one router.

Check the binding order of the NICs on the server....
Right click My Network Places...Properties. Highlight the Internal NIC. Then
select Advanced...Advanced Settings from the top menu for that window.
The Internal NIC should be displayed first followed by the External NIC. If
not, move the Internal NIC to the top of the list.
The Internal NIC should have File and Printer Sharing bound (check marked)
to the TCP/IP Protocol.
The Internal NIC should have Client for Microsoft Networks bound (check
marked) to the TCP/IP Protocol.
The External NIC should be bound to TCP/IP only (no other protocols or
services).
Also, when you run CEICW. make sure you select the correct NIC as the
"internal" NIC.
The users can't ping the gateway on the second router or further.
You have 2 routers?

Hi, I have just installed sbs2003 server sp1 with two NIC's. The
server
firewall is enabled. The server is able to connect to the internet no
problem. However, the users can only ping the 2nd NIC and no further.
The
users can't ping the gateway on the second router or further. The
users
are
able to receive email from Exchange.
I am using the wizards wherever possible. We have DHCP and DNS
configured
on the internal network. I have checked all the ip numbers and all
seems
to
be ok. I feel this must be something I am not familiar with (I am more
familiar with NT4 server).
Any tips you could provide would be most helpful. TIA
