Transition Pack question/problem

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

We have SBS Standard 2003 SP1, abd we have the Transition Pack Standard, we
installed it on the server and now it is stuck in an 'You must Activate this
copy with Microsoft before you can login' loop. You click Yes and it looks
like it is tring to do something then dumps you back to the login screen...

Im currently restoring a backup that i did before i started this, then got
to reading about it, do I need to buy the $300 upgrade to SBS Server '03 R2
before i can even install this? the paper that came with it said to make
sure that you install SP1 before you run the CD but makes no meantion that
you have to be running R2, (i thought that R2 had SP1 already installed on
it) so Im at a loss here..

any help would be nice.. Thanks!
