Yes, this is only half of the IPconfig. The Default Gateway is shown in the
ipconfig for the WAN Adapter Card

why does the server not have a DG? or is this only half an IPConfig?.

Hello;
Norton, MacAfee, some other "internet security"? I disklike those
programs,
usually remove them.
Is WINS installed... does your workstation ping the server by name? Does
anything show in the command line "net view"?
If you add an entry for the server to your hosts file, does the problem
go
away? If it does, you have name resolution problems, and should not
leave
it like that.
Have you tried ipconfig /flushdns?
Just for grins... post the results of ipconfig /all > serverip.txt and
ipconfig /all > workstip.txt. After running the commands you can find
the
txt files and cut and paste into your reply.

Thanks for responding
It is a new system - only a month or so old. Otherwise, this
workstation
seems to be working fine. I discovered the problem when I was trying to
do
map a drive, and could not access the server.
Note:
1) I can ping the server from the workstation.
2) From this workstation, I can open an Access database file that is on
the
server (using the network path address)
3) Also, I cannot 'see' the new workstation from the server via My
Network
Places\Entire Network .... (I can see the other computers in the
network)

Hi jsccorps,
Need a little more information. Did you use IPCONFIG /ALL when you did
the
comparison?
Has this workstation had any other problems?
How long has this computer had this problem?
Can you connect to a shared folder manually via a UNC name?
(enter \\servername\sharename in Windows Explorer Address field)
Some other questions to think about:
Any Event Log errors? On server or workstation.
Any changes or additions that would affect IIS?
Do you stick with the SBS Wizards when adding or modifying anything on
the
server?

Installed a new computer using the same "connectcomputer" procedure
that I
used on existing computers. However, on the new computer, I don't
see
any
shared folders or the network server in My Network Places. The
other
computers are fine. Also, I ran an IPCONFIG on the new computer and
the
configuration info is consistent with the other computers.
