Re: USB WD My Book Pro 500GB Not Recognized

Dave, what interface are you using? The MyBook Pro has USB and Firewire. Firewire requires that you connect it as USB and install the firewire driver from the MyBook. Or download the driver from Western Digital's website.

We have four of these drives (Premium not Pro) and they are all recognized by SBS2003.

Hello,

I have a Western Digital My Book Pro 500GB USB hard drive and it is not recognized uder SBS2003, I just get a yellow exclamation mark in device manager. My question is simple...is there anything i can do to get it recognized as i want to use it for extra backups after a recent tape failure.

Thank you.

Dave
