Re: VPN Error 733, Event Log Error 20050 with SBS 2003 - revisited

Hello Nick,

Thank you for your update.

Based research on your condition, I suggest you repair the whole RRAS by
tool "rarepair.exe". And you can get this tool only from CSS support of
Microsoft.

Please call CSS for further investigation on this issue. Thank you for your
cooperation.

I hope the information above is helpful.

If there is anything else I can do for you, feel free to let me know.

Best regards,

Terence Liu(MSFT)

| Hi Terence,
|
| Thanks for getting back to me. Fortunatly, I've put the remote workers
| on a Cisco VPN in the meantime, so the urgency of the situation has
| calmed down a bit
|
| As per your instruction, I can confirm that I'm unable to connect to
| the VPN from within the LAN with anti-virus (AVG email server edition)
| disabled or enabled. Also, the firewall is set to allow the relevant
| ports and protocols through to the servers internal IP address.
|
| So, I have reset the IP stack using netsh int ip reset and re-entered
| the necessary IP information, re-ran CEICW and RRAS wizards... still no
| cigar.
|
| It seems that I need to look at repairing the whole of RRAS. I look
| forward to your next instruction.
|
| Thanks again!
|
| Regards,
|
| Nick Marks
