RE: Launching a New user

Hello Customer,

Thank you for posting here.

Please understand that our newsgroup is an issue based service, meaning we
usually respond to one question/issue per post. This will lessen the
confusion for both of us, as well as ensure that our results are accurate
and not a result of a test for a different question. Therefore, I will work
with you on the first question in this post (the printer issue). Regarding
the additional question, after we resolved the first question, I will
follow it.

Before we go any further, please let me know the following information so
that we can understand your situation more clearly.

1. As you mention "I have about 5 network printers that as far I knew
always came over when adding new users to the SBS network." What does that
mean exactly?

2. If the new account cannot use network printers when first logon SBS
Domain?

3. Can these new accounts use network printers after manually add the
printers?

4. What OS of client computer is?

5. If all new accounts cannot use all these 5 network printers?

6. Can other old accounts use the 5 network printers?

7. Is there any error message received when you try to use the network
printers?

8. Is there any firewall between clients and printers?

9. Is there any Group Policy about printers or client computers on SBS
server?

I appreciate your time and look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks and have a nice day!

Best regards,

Terence Liu(MSFT)
