Try backing up to USB or other Hard drive and see if you can restore.

Hi,.
I have an issue where a SBS2003 SP1 server is having it's SQL backups
being performed to disk by enterprise manager and then backed up to
tape via NTBackup.
I cannot restore the SQL *.BAK files (created using enterprise manager)
from tape to either the original or alternate location.
I get message:
event id 1000
Faulting application ntbackup.exe, version 5.2.3790.1830, faulting
module ntbackup.exe, version 5.2.3790.1830, fault address 0x000c77a0.
I can restore them from existing disk backups with SQL manager.
I can restore other files without issue.
SBS 2003 SP1, HP LTO3 drive with latest firmware
Backups using NTBackup, was version 2.3790.1830 but applied hotfix
894390 and now version 5.2.3790.274 (after fudging the file
protection to let me update to this version)
Anyone have anything else I can try?
