Behavior for Performance Logs is normal. It only starts when needed.
Alerts?? do you mean Alerter? That should be disabled.

If you want me to help you, you need to give me the info I ask for. You
didn't tell me anything about your event logs. any errors? (ErrorIds,
source, description).

I have just installed SBS 2003 R2 on a new HP ML350 G4 with 2 Nics,
most

the installation has been fine except companyweb will not run on the

The company has a Netopia IDSL Router with 5 static IP addresses.
