Ok, it is actually 11 GB and 7.35 is still free (only 3.64 used). I believe
their requirements assume that you are installing Exchange, the other
programs and the user folders to the first partition. With SBS I always only
install Windows to the C: drive. I change every other option to make it
install to the second partition.

Look at all the requirements of SBS2003 R2 and future requirements. 10gb.
partition is not enough.

Thank you, I will have to read the white paper, and then I may have more
questions for you.
I do have one question now. You say "You can move the hard drives and SCSI
controller after you complete upgrade SBS 2000 to 2003." Does that mean that
I would need to have a new hard drive in the new server? I have thought
about using one of the drives from the mirror in the new server until I am
sure it is working (meanwhile the other drive would be one I could fall back
on if necessary).
Currently there are two hard drives that are mirrored through Windows 2000
disk management. There are just two partitions, one for the operating system
and the other for programs and data.

Hi,
Thanks for posting here.
From your post, I understand that you want to know the best way to move the
hard drives and SCSI controller from the old server to a new server and
upgrade to SBS 2003. If I am off base, please feel free to let me know.
Based on my knowledge, to upgrade from SBS 2000 to SBS 2003, we recommend a
migration to a new hardware. Thus your SBS 2003 server is a fresh installed
system and this will avoid any potential software compatibility issues if
you do an in-place upgrade. To do a migration, you can refer to the
following White Paper which gives the detailed steps and information:
http://download.microsoft.com/download/6/d/c/6dccf9b4-d915-4c95-b5af-100b89e
02add/SBS_MigratingSBS2k.doc
You can move the hard drives and SCSI controller after you complete upgrade
SBS 2000 to 2003.
I hope the above information helps.
Have a nice day.
Best Regards,
Steven Zhu
