Re: Exchange problems: Mailbox failed to create

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Hi,

Thank you for posting here.

I understand you can not receive inbound email through pop3 connector.

First I suggest that you download email by using pop3 client, can you
download email directly.

Also please check application log on SBS Server, do you find any pop3
connector related error event? I prefer that you save the application log
as *.evt file and send to me at v-chacez@xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hope this helps, if anything unclear, please do not hesitate to let me
know.

Have a nice day!

Best Regards,

Chace Zhang (MSFT)

| Ok, got the wizard working again. (System clean up and a reboot did the
| job.) But I still can't get the POP Connector to work. The messages
never
| show up in the Exchange mailbox, but they are removed from the ISP!
While I
| have this working on quite a few other sites, but it has never worked on
| this site (haven't had reason to try it before now) This site is a
fairly
| old install of SBS (2+ years) and it has been working well in all other
| respects.
|
| If this were a static IP site, I'd just modify the MX record to point
| correctly and be done with it, but with a dynamic IP, the POP Connector
and
| Smart Host seem to be the best option.

|
| BTW, there were NO errors in the log files.
